sittin there on day thinkin bout what needs to change
an a brilliant idea came to me
see all this paper an ink manufactured cause we think
we aint got the mind to remember
but i think its a ploy to make money and employ
and keep our people slaves to a system
cause if ya think about it we got so much more mind to go around
but we dont know how to use it
oh lawd
so we keep choppin trees drillin oil and killin bees
cause someone years ago began to do it
but i say now is the time to start usin our minds
for somethin alittle more than indulgence
cause if we dont improve well have nothin left to lose
but the history we lose among the ashes
cause time will spit us out just like shes done a thousand times before
and we aint done a thing about it
oh lawd
